It&#8217;s called Fogo Island. And it&#8217;s in Newfoundland. The Shipping News territory. I&#8217;m going to be seeing whales (hopefully). And icebergs (fingers crossed). And eating partridgeberries. And perhaps, during my three month artist&#8217;s residency,\u00a0learning a new dance-a Fogo Island kitchen dance. You can\u00a0catch it on YouTube. Along with the Fogo Island Accordion Group. Fogo Island is an amazing and unique arts initiative, run by the not-for-profit Fogo Island Arts Corporation.\u00a0 And I&#8217;m really chuffed to be the first Australian writer chosen for a residency. <a href=\"http:\/\/artscorpfogoisland.ca\/\">http:\/\/artscorpfogoisland.ca\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll be writing in the Squish studio. Squish? Newfoundland for out-of-kilter.
